About the Cantonese language

Cantonese, also known as Yue Chinese, is spoken widely across the Guangxi, Guangdong, Hainan and Hunan provinces. More than 72,893,210 people speak Cantonese worldwide, making it the second largest Chinese language after Mandarin. Many people who speak Cantonese can understand some Mandarin.
